Some of you may or may not know that I love tattoos. I got my first tattoo three days after I turned 18 and I'd wanted one for as long as I can remember. I've always loved tattoos and see them as beautiful pieces of permanent artwork. For a while now I've wanted to have a mermaid tattoo; I've always loved mermaids and all the old sailor stories about mermaids luring ships into the rocks. After doing a lot of research I decided I wanted a sailor jerry traditional style mermaid on the bottom of my leg. Originally the writing on the tattoo said "forget me not" but I decided to change it and added a Mumford and sons lyric from The Cave "make your sirens call" as its one of my favourite songs and it fits with the mermaid. I decided to have my tattoo done by Greg Moore at Ghost House Collective. All in all it only took an hour and a half to do and I was really pleased with how it turned out.
