Anyone who knows me knows that I'm not a morning person.
My morning always consists of me stumbling around with my eyes squinted half shut trying to get ready as quick as possible. Putting on my makeup in the morning is probably the only thing I enjoy, so I always look forward to trying out new products to make my mornings that little bit better.
Unless you've been living under a rock for the past year, mum sure you'll have heard of the infamous Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette.
The beauty community loves a good neutral palette and this was no exception, with everyone including me going crazy about it.
So when I heard Too Faced had released a sequel the Semi sweet chocolate bar palette I understandably rushed out to buy it. Unfortunately it hasn't been released in the UK yet but that didn't stop me and I took advantage of Sephora's world wide delivery.
All in all with delivery and taxes it came to around £45 which is about what you'd be paying for it in the UK anyway so I was really pleased.

Both the original and the Semi Sweet smell of deliciously sweet chocolate which is sure to get your mouth watering.
The palette comes in a chocolate bar shaped tin, and sticking to the chocolate theme all the shadows have chocolate themes names. The Semi sweet palette is marketed as a warmer, deeper version of the first palette.
At first glance I have to say that I was more excited about this palette than the first and could definetly see a lot of warm deep shades such as Peanut Butter and Caramel.
However, when looking at all the shades I soon realised that the palette actually is very neutral as it contains quite a few cooler shades too like Rum Rasin and Puddin.
Like all Too Faced shadows these shadows are all beautifully pigmented and creamy, the only let down shade for me is Pink Sugar which lacks pigmentation and is more like an eyeshadow topper. Overall I'm really impressed with this palette, and like the original I can see myself getting a lot of use out of it. Yes it may be another neutral palette, but you can never have enough right?
I'm obsessed with the Too Faced palettes, although I have yet to get around to trying the chocolate bar ones. I've seen so much buzz about them though so I better get on that, haha!
ReplyDeleteThe chocolate bar palettes are gorgeous. You get so much shadow for your money too, that they are well worth the initial investment.
