As of today it’s officially my due date! It seems crazy that
40 weeks of pregnancy has flew by, it feels like only yesterday I got that
positive test and my whole life changed for the better.
Most babies aren’t born on their due dates so it’s no surprise that there’s no signs of the little one being born today, so instead of sitting here twiddling my thumbs waiting for him to make an appearance I’ve decided to do a little nursery tour post.
When I was still living with my mum we luckily had a spare room and turned it into a nursery as soon as we found out I was having a boy, which was really early at around 20 weeks.
So for ages I’d been able to relax and not worry about sorting his room out because it was already done. All that changed when 6 weeks ago my fiancé and I were offered a gorgeous two bedroom flat with almost no notice, so we quickly boxed up our lives and moved in together.
As you can imagine everything was all over the place for quite a while with a long list of places that needed decorating, furniture that needed assembling, boxes that needed unpacking.
Our main priorities were getting the living room and our bedroom sorted so Noah’s room was pushed to last.
Finally after weeks of waiting his room is finished and I have to say I really do love it.

When I originally started decorating the nursery I knew I wanted white furniture because I’ve always thought how simple and bright it looks.
I decided I wanted Noah’s nursery to have a theme and decided on Winnie the Pooh as I myself had a Winnie the Pooh nursery as a baby, and I love how classic and timeless it is.
One of my favourite things in Noah’s room is his cot. I absolutely love his white Winnie the Pooh bedding which we got from mothercare as it has a really classic look.
We also added a gorgeous blue canopy over his cot from ikea that really draws attention.
The main pieces of furniture in his room are both from Ikea.
We bought the Malm chest of drawers, and the kallax storage unit. The chest of drawers are really sleek and have really deep drawers which is great for holding all his many baby grows! We added storage cubes into the Kallax unit which really maximises the storage without having everything on show. In the middle of his room is the cutest little play mat from the loved so much range at mothercare, it looks so comfy and cosy and I can’t wait to see him playing on it. Although we still have some decorative bits and bobs to add to the room I’m really happy its finally finished and really pleased with how it’s turned out.
