37 Weeks Pregnant Update

37 weeks pregnant bump
The end is finally in sight! Now that I’m 37 weeks and officially classed as full term *scary right* it seems as though my due date is just around the corner. It’s crazy when I think back to when I first found out I was pregnant at just 4 weeks along, since then there’s been so many milestones. Throughout this pregnancy I’ve always been counting down to something; my first scan, the end of the first trimester, my 20 week scan so we could find out whether we were having a girl or a boy. In some ways it feels as though I’ve been pregnant for ages, and realistically I have I mean it’s been nearly 9 months! But on the other hand, it feels like the pregnancy has whizzed by and now it’s just a matter of weeks until we get to meet our little bundle of joy and I honestly couldn’t be more excited! I had always expected the final weeks of pregnancy to drag and go really slowly but I’ve recently moved out with my fiancé so I’ve been rushing around like a headless chicken decorating, putting up furniture and trying to get everything ready before the baby is born so I haven’t had a chance to sit and count down the days.

Weight Gain
So in the past week I went from not gaining any weight in months to gaining 5lbs overnight! I can only put that down to my suddenly increasing appetite.
Maternity Clothes?
As I’ve said before I’ve been wearing maternity jeans throughout as my superskinny Topshop jeans stopped fitting almost straight away. In the past couple of weeks I’ve been struggling as my tops have started getting a little bit short but I’m so near the end that I’m not going to bother buying any new ones.
Stretch marks?
I’ve got quite a few of them now but I’m honestly not fussed, our gorgeous boy will be worth it.
Sleep
While waiting for our carpets to be fitted me and matt haven’t been able to put most of our furniture together so we’ve actually had to be sleeping on our mattress on the floor! As you can imagine getting up and down is quite a struggle, so that as well as heartburn and Braxton hicks has meant little sleep for me lately.
What I miss
The only thing I’ve been missing lately is having my belly to myself so I can eat what I like.
Food cravings/aversions
My food aversions have calmed down a lot lately but I’m pretty much constantly craving cheese spread, I must have it at least three times a day. I’ve also had a weird craving for roast dinners and gravy!
