November Favourites

Tuesday, 2 December 2014

Hey guys! So I haven’t done a monthly favourites post in ages, and when I say that I’m pretty sure my last one was nearly a year ago *bad blogger award over here* so I thought it was definitely about time that I wrote one, and I’m going to try to write these every month from now on.
As we’re slipping into winter most of the foundations I’d been loving through the summer have started to look a little bit too tanned on me so I thought it was time that I pulled out my Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation as it’s the perfect shade for my now, even paler complexion. Around the time this foundation came out and everyone was raving about it, I went out and bought it but the colour was far too dark, so I bought it again and I had the same problem… third time lucky I picked it up in the palest colour and it was a perfect match! This foundation gives really good coverage and covers the increasing redness appearing now it’s getting colder like a dream.
The past month I’ve been getting barely any sleep (thanks to the troubles of pregnancy) so I’ve been suffering more than ever with horrible dark circles under my eyes. To solve this problem I’ve been constantly reaching for my Mac Select Cover Up Concealer I’d never really heard much about this concealer before but when I was at my local MAC store the lovely lady on the counter recommended it to me. One of the things I love about this concealer is how you can easily squeeze out as much or as little as you’d like which means you never have any problem with wasting product because too much comes out (yes I’m talking about you Pro Long Wear) the concealer has a very liquid consistency which makes it blend out flawlessly and not stick to any dry patches.
Highlighters are always a great way to brighten up a dull complexion and I’ve been really loving MAC Mineralize Skin Finish: Soft And Gentle this highlighter gives such a gorgeous golden glow that looks gorgeous with pretty much any makeup look.
Until the beginning of this month I’d never tried any illamasqua blushes before but I made a hefty order and I’m so glad I did. I’ve been loving ALL of the blushes I’ve ordered from them, they’re all amazingly pigmented, soft and buttery. In particular I’ve been really loving the colour Hussy which is a bright purple toned fuchsia.
You tend to have to be light handed with illamasqua blushes as they’re so pigmented so I’ve been reaching for my Real Techniques Blush Brush as it picks up the perfect amount of of product and lightly applies it so it’s the perfect brush for not being too heavy handed with super pigmented blushes.
So there’s my beauty favourites for November, what have you guys been loving? Comment below.
