Where I've Been

Monday, 9 June 2014

Hey guys, so I know its been a really long time since I last blogged (nearly a month I think) and I thought you all deserved an explainaiton as to why I've gone so long without blogging so I decided to write this post to fill you all in.

Some of you may know that this past year I've been at college doing the final year of my A Levels.
Ever since I started A Levels really I had a feeling deep down that they weren't the right thing for me, but I kept at it because I thought it was what I was supposed to do. I even applied to Uni, mainly because I thought it was expected of me. But in the last couple of months I started to realise that I shouldn't live my life just doing what other people expect of me, and that I should do something that I enjoy.
So I decided to not go to Uni after the summer and start looking for an apprenticeship in ChildCare.
Ever since I can remember I've always loved being around kids and I've always wanted to work with them so I took the plunge and started applying for apprenticeships near me. Luckily I got a couple of interviews and was offered an apprenticeship in one of the nicest nurseries I've probably ever been to.
The only problem was that they wanted me to start right away, and although I'd finished college my exams weren't over till the end of June. The oppertunity was too good to pass up though so I took it.
I've never been happier with a descision I've made in my life. Although its quite a shock working full time I can honestly say I love it and I find it so fuffilling! *It helps that the children and staff are all lovely*

So, for the past two weeks I've been working 40 hours a week at my apprenticeship, 10 hours at the weekend for my Saturday job, and revising for and sitting my A level exams all at the same time!
Unfortunately this hasn't left me much time for blogging, but as soon as my exams are over in the next couple of weeks I'm going to go back to blogging as often as I can.
