MAC Osbourne Collection Haul& First Impressions

Sunday, 15 June 2014

As some of you may know I have an unhealthy obsession with MAC lipsticks, this being said they’re actually the only thing I’ve ever tried from MAC *crazy right* So recently I decided to order some face bits as it’s about time I tried them out!

While on Selfridge’s website I saw the MAC Osbournes collection had just been released, and I knew I had to have something from it, I mean how can anyone say no to limited edition? After a lot of umming and ahhhing I finally settled on a mineralized skin finish from the Sharon Osbourne part of the collection in Refresh.

Firstly can we just take a second to appreciate the packaging? I’m a sucker for limited edition packaging, and this is no exception. I love the fact that it’s red as red is my favourite colour, and I love Sharon’s signature on the front.

The product itself is a mineralize skin finish duo with a summery bronze colour taking up ¾ of the pan, and a peachy highlight taking up the smallest ¼. I’ve never tried any mineralize skin finishes before so I was really excited when this came in the post and I wasn’t disappointed.

The bronze portion of the product is a lovely warm brown that if applied right gives a gorgeous summery ‘bronze goddess’ look which is perfect for the upcoming season. The highlight shade is a gorgeous peachy gold which matches perfectly with the bronzer. I must admit I wasn’t sure I’d like the highlight as I’m quite pale and thought it would be too gold for me but I was pleasantly surprised.

Both colours would look gorgeous on a range of different skin tones, and although they do have a bit of shimmer it doesn’t look over the top. My only negative about this product is that I wish the pan was split 50/50 so there’d be more of the amazing highlight colour.

This is limited edition but I’d definitely recommend checking it out If you can find it at any stores near you.
