As all of you probably know by now, I'm a massive MAC lipstick addict.I know I probably own too many but I just can't get enough of them, they seem to have every colour/ finish you could ever think of. 

That being said, I'm a complete sucker for limited editionSo, a couple of days ago when I was looking on the MAC website and saw the by request lipstick

I just knew I had to get them. 

If you don't know what by request is basically each year MAC give everyone a choice of discontinued items and the ones with the most votes get put sale online till they sell out. 

This year there was three lipsticks, all three looked gorgeous but Glam was sold out.So I ended up ordering hoop and pink poodle.I also gave into temptation and ordered show orchid from the permenent collection as I'd been lusting over it from quite a while.

I've always been a lover of pink lipsticks so when I saw hoop and pink poodle I knew I had to get them as they're both gorgeous pinks.

Hoop is described as a "mid tonal rosey pink" and is a satin finish. I personally love satin formulas as they're well pigmented, stay of for ages and aren't too drying. The colour of this lipstick is gorgeous! It's just the perfect day time colour and I know I'm going to get a lot of wear out of it thought spring/summer. 

Pink Poodle is described as a "vivid bright fuschia pink"' and is a glaze finish. With this lipstick being a glaze finish I expected low pigmentation but incas presently surprised!It's bold, bright and has great pigmentation while being super comfortable on the lips. The colour is just a super gorgeous bright pink, but the soft blue/purple sheen to it makes It different from your bog standard fuschia lip. 

Show Orchid is described as a "vivid hot pink" and is an amplified finish. I originally wanted this because I had tried revlon wild orchid (a great dupe just a bit more purple) and I wanted a MAC alternative as I wasn't a fan of the formula.As you might notice from the swatches, show orchid and pink poodle are actually very very similar. I'd say the only big difference is the finish, so if you like pink poodle but you don't like glaze finishes or it's sold out then I'd try show orchid.
