You may have seen my recent post about MAC’s new limited
edition collection that’s just been released in time for spring. The ‘Fantasy
Of Flowers’ collection is full of girly pastel colours and glitter, it pretty
much screams Spring when you look at it.
If you know me at all then you’ll know
that my weakness is MAC lipsticks, I just can’t get enough of them! So of
course, as soon as the collection was released I couldn’t wait to get my hands
on some of the new lipsticks.
All of the lipsticks in this collection are
lustre’s. If you don’t know what lustre’s are they give a more sheer and glossy
finish, and are extremely comfortable to wear on the lips. Before these
lipsticks I’d never actually bought any lustre’s from MAC because I’m the sort
of girl who lives for a highly pigmented lipstick, usually going for Matte or
Satin finishes.
But, as soon as I saw the beautiful colours that were released
with this collection I decided I had to get them, even if they were in a finish
I hadn’t yet tried.
I ordered three shades: Dreaming Dahlia, SnapDragon, and
Heavenly Hybrid.
Dreaming Dahlia is a sheer red coral. If I'm being honest this lipstick is the complete opposite of what I'd usually go for. Although I love red lipsticks I really dislike coral's, for some reason they just don't look good on me which is a shame because they're gorgeous! I couldn't resist trying this though as its so pretty, luckily the fact that it's quite sheer works to an advantage for me. It's such a pretty colour that isn't too coral and will be perfect for spring.
SnapDragon is a midtone blue pink. This is a gorgeous summery pink colour that goes on quite sheer so is perfect for everyday wear as it just gives a subtle wash of colour.
Heavenly Hybrid is a midtone berry. I just LOVE berry colours. Throughout autumn/winter I can't get enough of my dark purple/berry lips. This lipstick is the perfect colour to transition from winter to spring. Its such a beautiful colour that goes with everything and really brightens up the face, and it's really pigmented for a lustre! I've found a good dupe for this is Revlon Berry Couture.

I love love love this collection. I wish I had gotten more shades than Heavenly Hybrid!
