The Balm Nude'tude Palette

Thursday, 13 February 2014

I have an obsession.

Well actually I have a lot of obsessions *lipsticks, vampire diaries, and dominos* but the one I’m going to talk about today is eye shadow palettes.

There’s just something about eye shadow palettes I love. I love having lots of colours all in one place, I’m a sucker for good packaging and I think they’re always great value for money. For ages I’d seen mainly American beauty gurus on YouTube talking about The Balm Nude’Tude eye shadow palette and I’d completely fallen in love with it, but, I didn’t think you could get it in the UK.

Then one day while I was drooling over all the lovelies on Feelunique.com I found it! Obviously I instantly bought it *even though it was close to Christmas so I probably shouldn’t have* I’ve waited all this time write a review on it because I wanted to give it a lot of use before I shared my thoughts.

I have so many great things to say about this palette!

It’s priced at around £26 and you get 12 colours which is great value for money. All the colours are neutral but they’re not just your standard colours that every other neutral palette has in them. After buying this I actually swatched all the colours against my naked 1 and 2 palette and there weren’t any clear dupes. All the shadows are EXTREMELY pigmented; honestly I wasn’t expecting it to live up to its reputation because it was so affordable but all of the shadows are crazily pigmented and super blendable *Don’t tell anyone I said this, but I think I prefer the formula to Urban Decay eye shadows* I love all of the colours in this palette but my favourites would have to be sultry for a blending colour, sophisticated is a great lid colour and sexy is the most gorgeous crease colour!

Left to right: serious, sexy, sophisticated, selfish, stubborn, sassy

Left to right: sleek, silly, seudctive, sultry, standoffish, snobby

  1. I love how there are some yellow, pink and red tones in this palette. Such a wide variety of looks can be created and each shade is unique. I don't personally own it, but I gifted it to my sister for Christmas and secretly wanted to steal it for myself! x

  2. I have this palette and its fab. I find I use the lighter shades the most. But it is beautiful.
