Purple lipstick seems to be everywhere in the past couple of months.
Everyday I see people rocking the dark lip trend, and I'm sure you do too.
Purple lipstick can be a bit scary to start wearing - you don't want to look like a Halloween character- but it doesn't have to be!
Anyone can pull off purple lipstick, its just all about finding the right shade for your complexion, and the shade you feel most comfortable with.
Purple lips are a perfect look for autumn and winter, many celebrities have been spotted recently wearing the trend.
For a more night-time look, pair your purple lips with a golden smokey eye like Jennifer Lopez.
For a classic day-time look wear a more neutral eye to make your lips pop like Megan Fox.
If you're pale like Lily Collins don't be afraid of the bold colour!
Keep the rest of your makeup simple to draw attention to your lips.

Here are some tips for wearing purple lipstick:
Save your purple lipstick for the Autumn/Winter months
Always test your lipstick out to make sure its the right shade for you and you feel comfortable wearing it
Apply lip liner, as dark colours tend to fade faster this will help make it stay on longer
Use a lip brush so application is precise
Be confident!
Great post! This is definitely my favourite look for the winter months, I think a bold lip especially this shade looks stunning on everyone.

It's so true that purple lipstick can work for anyone- I was really reluctant at first as I have fair skin and was worried I'd look like a vampire aha, but I love it! :) Mine is Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick 107 and it's more of a plumy colour with hints of red, but I can't stop wearing it! ReplyDeleteI love a darker berry shade for winter. I'm ridiculously pale but it actually looks pretty striking against dark hair and ghost-white skin!
