Chanel Vitalumiere/Lift Lumiere review! ♥

Sunday, 10 November 2013

I've always had problems with foundations because I have very dry skin.
It's always tended to clump together on certain patches of my face (really not a good look!)
So, a couple of months ago I found myself searching the net for a good foundation that works well on dry skin.
I kept coming across Chanel Vitalumiere; I really liked the look of it, but it was a bit pricey.
I'd never really tried any high-end foundations before, but, I decided to try it out.
I'm so glad I did!

I headed to my nearest Chanel counter to get colour matched and unfortunately, because I'm so pale, the palest shade was quite a bit too dark for me:(
The girl on the counter suggested that I try Lift Lumiere (an anti-ageing formula) as it comes in lighter shades.
Luckily for me their lightest shade 05 faience was just light enough for me.

"Directs light exactly where it's needed. Wrinkles and fine lines are smoothed as if by magic. Pores and imperfections seem to disappear and dark spots are lightened. Provides natural coverage thanks to coloured pigments"

After using this foundation for quite some time now I can honestly say that it's worth every penny!
The foundation is very moisturising and glides on my face easily without sticking to any dry patches.
I wear this foundation to work and it lasts all day, although at the end of the day my nose is starting to look a bit shiny.
It provides  medium to buildable coverage and gives a 'my skin but better' dewy finish.
The only negatives of this product is that the shade range is very limited and tends to be very yellow, and if you have oily skin it may not be the best product for you.
Overall I'm very happy with this product and I'd recommend this if you have dry-normal skin. Even though it's a bit pricey it's definitely worth it!
